Basically, write some markup, apply a stylesheet, and you have a presentation in a box.
I also added a Present This bookmarklet that opens the current page in a full page frame with no toolbars/menubar etc, so you just hit F11 to view fullscreen.
Pretty sweet.
I know I’ve laid off the politics for a while, but I have to come out in support of the filibuster:
First, I believe he’s unqualified for the position. He has a history of lying before the Senate to gain confirmation.
Second, I find his statement that he does not consider Roe v. Wade settled law improper.
Third and most important, I find his position on the unitary executive constitutionally incorrect and dangerously close to supporting elected kinghood.
For these reasons, I support withholding his nomination by rejecting a vote for cloture.
This is because Coffee is the greatest thing in the universe, except when it isn’t.
Any time I start drinking coffee, I very quickly get to the point where I drink 4 cups a day. I say, “any time”, even though I’ve only quit twice in the last 3 years.
When that happens, quitting drinking coffee really really sucks, because you get headaches and whatnot. Withdrawal is bad.
The good news is, if I drink 2-3 cups of green tea a day, I don’t get withdrawal. It’s like methadone for coffee, except it’s actually good for you instead of only being slightly less illegal and not as fun.
So, thanks to green tea I can drink coffee any time I want and then quit. Hoorah.
The bad news is, when I’ve been drinking no coffee for a week and then drink some, I get really jittery and can’t sleep. That’s when you end up posting weird blog rants on coffee and tea at 3am.
So I just watched The Salton Sea last night, and without including any spoilers (it sucked), let me just say it wasn’t very good. And it got me to thinking, specifically about Val Kilmer. Like far many actors, you can split his career into two distinct parts, after which there are really no good movies in which he has appeared. For Clint Eastwood, that pretty much happened with In The Line Of Fire (1993). For Val Kilmer, I’m pretty sure he hasn’t been in anything good since Heat (1995). Which is a shame, because I’ll keep seeing movies with them in it (see the above Salton Sea).
Other examples of career-breakpoints welcome, and if you can name anything that breaks either of these ones I’d love to hear it — I’d like to see either of these guys in something decent.
Maybe you’ve noted the new poll in the sidebar. I’ll replicate the question here for your perusal.
Ok, let’s say you logged into a web service via XML, and one of the responses back was an integer for a bitfield indicating possible permissions. What would you do?
Your challenge, if you choose to accept it, is to top that.
For being totally awesome and easy to configure and install, building support for SSL, and having a debian package available when I needed it: Dovecot! Congratulations, you’re my open source project of the week!
Once upon a time, Jeanine Pirro was running for the Republican nomination for Senator from New York. It turns out she had a few problems, so the GOPers forced her out of the race.
The only problem? Nobody else wants to sign up.
Hm. Maybe we can find somebody to parachute in and save the day?
