Recent comment problems

Recent problems with comments and individual post links have been traced back to the snowball plugin for spam karma2. SK2 plugin has been dragged out and shot. Any further issues, please post here.

Thanks!

Update: (because I can never write a post in one shot anymore … ) I’ve also reverted back to my personal theme, which is the same as Kubrick except with the linkto box on the right hand side. Have a nice day.

Via Jess and Keith:

These things are like the cereal you have to wade through in online journals to get to the toy. But you know, you wouldn’t value the toy as much if you didn’t have to shovel down all those fiber-rice-nuggets.

You are OS2-Warp. You're plagued by feelings of abandonment and disgust for your backstabbing step-brother. Oh, what might have been.
Which OS are You?

You are .html You are versatile and improving, but you do have your limits. When you work with amateurs it can get quite ugly.
Which File Extension are You?

Update: And would someone please tell the bbspot people not to use jpg compression for computer-generated images? They look like crap! Grr. Damn kids these days, don’t know which image format to use….

Hoax: I don't care if you buy a Dell

People like my friend mrw already don’t like Dell.

Now I have another good reason not to like them.

I cannot say this loudly enough. Do Not Buy A Dell.

Update: Upon further review, probably a hoax: “mr guy does not know what a PIC is” “the second picture does not match with the first (# cables, lack of ziptie, etc)” “none of the pictures identify anything relative to the machine”

Krenzel gone

Alas, poor Craig, we barely knew thee.

Not like we didn’t have a logjam at QB anyway. I hope he took all his money from last year and stuffed it into a piggy bank for grad school. Good luck.

Scoreboard feature requests

Upholder: if someone has left a job before reaching their 251mR date, the date should be greyed out like the rest of the line
Upholder: it might be good for the unreached 251mR dats for current jobs to be grey too.. or not..
ronin: heh, you could color the background of people’s rows based on how much of a roma they have
Upholder: also, the tenure of completed jobs should probably be grey
meekay: Can you make mine blue? I like blue.
meekay: if ($name == ‘Mike Kolb’) …
ronin: it’s also easy to do horizontal progress bars in HTML
ronin: <div style=”width: xxx%; background-color: blue;”>
Upholder: or just color the background of the mR field
h4ck: Linky will hit his -251mR date this year
Upholder: h4ck: you appear to be mistaken
Upholder: h4ck: people who started jobs in late 2001 have a 251mR date in 2008

-251mR date sounds like fun…
